‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 3 Cast and New Character Posters

Season 3 of Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy is almost here.

Based on musician Gerard Way and illustrator Gabriel Bá‘s graphic novel series of the same name, and created by Steve Blackman and developed by Moon Knight head writer Jeremy SlaterThe Umbrella Academy is one of the most highly anticipated Netflix shows to return following Season 2, which premiered in 2019.

After putting a stop to 1963’s doomsday in Season 2, the surviving members of the Umbrella Academy returned home to the present, convinced they prevented the initial apocalypse and fixed this godforsaken timeline once and for all. But after a brief moment of celebration, they realize things aren’t exactly (OK, not at all) how they left them. Enter the Sparrow Academy in The Umbrella Academy Season 3.

The Sparrows immediately clash with the Umbrellas in a violent face-off that turns out to be the least of everyone’s concerns. Navigating challenges, losses and surprises of their own — and dealing with an unidentified destructive entity wreaking havoc in the universe (something they may have caused) — now all they need to do is convince Dad’s new and possibly better family to help put right what their arrival made wrong. Will they find a way back to their pre-apocalyptic lives? Or is this new world about to reveal more than just a hiccup in the timeline?

Eccentric billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves gave the seven exceptional children he adopted numbers to indicate their rank within his superhero team. These Season 3 character posters show the Umbrella Academy facing off against their Sparrow Academy equivalents. Let’s introduce all the characters in this extremely awkward family reunion.

In the meantime, check out the new set of character posters below:

No. 1 Luther – Umbrella Academy

Luther (Tom Hopper)

Luther (Tom Hopper)

Luther (Tom Hopper) was already superstrong when Sir Reginald saved his life with a serum that gave him a body like a gorilla, something Luther hides by wearing gloves and long sleeves. That landed him in a mental institution, where he met and fell in love with Lila, an agent of the Temps Commission who also has extraordinary powers.

No. 3 Allison – Umbrella Academy

Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman)

Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman)
